Unfortunately there wasn’t much action on the water (late June, morning half day). The guys on board were friendly. Our kids (11,14) were quite bored sadly.  Would have been good to have some rods that were not attached to the boat for the kids to try. Saw some dolphins which was the highlight. I should have researched a bit more to see if this was even a good time to go as we only got one small tuna and no other bites during the 4hrs.

So I am going to have to be completely honest in my review !! … I enjoyed my trip even though I didn’t get to bring  any fish to the boat … there was not a lot of action going on in the water today but that’s understandable … when you go fishing it’s to hopefully catch something but not guaranteed… we did hook 2 sail fish I was able to fight one for about 20 min until he came unhooked the only issue was when I was trying to fight the fish the handle on the reel kept coming off because it was broken so in the middle of the fight the mate picked up the reel handle 4 or  5 times for me which made my fish fight frustrating… it felt like more of an obstacle to try and fight the fish the boat captain and mate were nice the mate was extremely helpful and brought me delicious fresh fruit and lunch was served on the boat .. the one thing I would say is that if the fishing gear would be checked and properly maintained my experience could have been a lot better ….. no pictures or videos were taken of me even fighting the fish that was on and that kinda sucks but I will never forget my experience… I gave 3 stars due to equipment failure in the middle
Of fighting my trophy fish … other than that  the trip was chill I just relaxed and enjoyed the peace and quiet on the water with some beers Pura Vida …

How do you rate a Fishing excursion service?  It really should not be based on a one day trip, based on if you caught fish or not.   That’s too random.  Anyone who has experience in fishing knows that there are days when you do everything right, but do not catch fish, and there are days when you accidentally stumble into a good catch.   I look for clarity and promptness of communication, do they meet properly set expectations?, is the crew easy to get along with?,  do they work hard to try to maximize your experience? Is the boat comfortable?
Sergio communicated promptly by text and email, answered multiple questions, and followed up with me after the trip.  They moved the trip up a little earlier in the day to try to avoid a tough wind that was going to happen that day.
Pick up was easy and prompt.  The crew was friendly, they worked hard and tried different techniques to induce a catch.
My expectation was not for a brand new boat, but for clean a serviceable.  God Will is an older boat, but it’s stable , rides well, it handles the spray well and is a bout 28’ or so. Shaded for the passengers, and runs well.   The fishing equipment is also older, but everything works, no failures.
We ended up with 2 small jacks, a small tuna, unfortunately we didn’t hook up a pretty good strike.    That’s fishing, small catches but not for lack of effort.  Will use them again for another planned trip, will likely bring some of my gear, just for preference.
